The first Wildling made of leather
Timeless, sustainable and durable: Wildling Faunus combines Wild Leather with a robust shell sole. The leather has a suede texture on the outside, while the smooth side hugs comfortably against the foot on the inside. Faunus has flat waxed cotton laces.

    Mid Cut in Mahogany
Faunus is named after the ancient Italic god of nature and the woods. He is said to provide protection to farmers and shepherds, their livestock and their fields. Following this example, the Mid Cut in Mahogany is made for movement with exceptional durability.

  • A Material with Responsibility

    Leather that may stay

The search for a sustainable source led to ‘Wild Leather’ – deer leather, a by-product of hunting that would otherwise go to waste. A new partnership was formed with Nina Conrad and Alicia Linz, combining regional leathers with traditional tanning techniques to give them a new life.

  • Two women. One mission. An ancient craft.

From the collection point to the tannery

Nina Conrad coordinates regional pelts with tanneries, while Alicia Linz manages collection points in Germany. Together, they ensure a transparent supply chain – from the Ecological Hunting Association to the Renz tannery. Vegetable-tanned, regionally processed, with respect for the animal.

  • Thinking regionally, tanned with plants

From the forest to the shoe

The deerskin comes from ecological hunting, with a fixed quota to maintain balance. At the Aug. Renz tannery – a family business since 1888 – it is tanned traditionally using vegetable dyes, without any heavy metals. Each piece carries traces of its origins, telling its own story.

  • Unlined. Authentic. Unmatched comfort.

The first wildling made of deer leather

Faunus was chosen for the very first model – made from dark brown, vegetable-tanned deerskin with a soft suede side. Unlined, breathable and flexible, it ensures a high level of comfort, while each pair brings a piece of nature to your feet.
