No freezing, no sweating
Hemp and wool help regulate the environment around the feet thanks to their inherent material properties – making sure feet stay nice and warm, without ever getting uncomfortably sweaty.
Style advisor? Sheep!
Why dye the wool when it naturally comes in such a chic look? The brown virgin wool is sourced from Nordwolle’s landscape conservation projects and comes completely undyed – just like the style-conscious sheep wore it.
Chestnut with a sheen
The second component of this model’s upper is Romanian hemp, supplied by our new partners from Virgocoop in France. It gives the brown Chestnut a vibrant navy blue sheen and a sleek, polished look.
Canvas (60% virgin wool, 40% hemp) - brown-blue
Lining / mid-sole:
Felted wool loden (100% virgin wool)
Microfiber (100% polyamide) - coffee brown
60% synthetic rubber containing approx. 33% recycled material, 25% silica, 15% recycled cork - caramel
True to size as measured with the Fitkit. Runs a little wider and provides ample room at the forefoot. For narrow feet, we recommend an insole.
Video tutorials explaining how to use the Fitkit and determine the correct fit are available on the Wildling Shoes YouTube channel.
Waterproofing before first-time wear
There is no need to apply waterproofing treatment to the entire shoe right out of the box – that has already been taken care of during production (and in this case, doubling up won’t make it last longer). Before first-time wear, we do recommend that you waterproof the edging again. This may cause the edging to darken slightly, so don’t be surprised.
Tip: Using a brush is the best way to apply the waterproofing product. If you choose to spray it on, be sure to cover the rest of the shoe. Repeat the waterproofing treatment as needed.
The best way to clean soiled shoes is by knocking them together when they are dry, brushing them carefully as needed when dry, or by wiping them carefully with a damp cloth.
Not machine washable.
We recommend periodic follow-up waterproofing treatments with a suitable product.
When putting on, please note: Widen the opening of the shoe sufficiently by loosening the laces. This minimizes wear on the material and extends the life of the shoe.
Every single shoe is a handmade one of a kind, with an upper made from natural material. The structure and coloration may exhibit minor irregularities.
When using ride-on toys, we recommend additional protection against scuffing.
