• Product information

  Atento means “mindful” or “attentive” in Portuguese. It is no coincidence that the forest green Wildling bears this name. After all, it is the result of an extraordinary collaboration between Wildling and the organization Rewilding Portugal, which is committed to maintaining ecosystems and the coexistence of humans and animals.

  The entire value chain of the Atento upper - from sheep farming to the weaving, dyeing and processing of the wool into the shoe - takes place within a radius of 150 km in Portugal. The Atento upper is woven in a herringbone pattern, which gives the forest green yarn its unique texture.

  Complemented by a water-repellent membrane, a wool lining as well as sewn-in inner soles from Wildling's cooperation partner Nordwolle, Atento is a warming splash of color on cool days. Insoles such as Wooly or Felty can easily be added to the model if required to keep even more warmth inside the shoe.

  Unlike its predecessor Perto, Atento is available in children's sizes as well as adult sizes. For an extra splash of color, the children's sizes come with an orange Shell Sole, while the Shell Sole for adults comes in a pastel matcha green.

  Upper:
  Herringbone (100% virgin wool) – forest green

  Membrane:
  100% polyester containing approx. 75% recycled material

  Lining / mid-sole:
  Felted wool loden (100% virgin wool)

  Outsole:
  Wildling outsoles are made of synthetic rubber (partially recycled), silica and natural rubber. Depending on the model, cork particles may be included. Color – matcha green

  Choose your normal size for a comfortable fit.

• Care

  Waterproofing before first-time wear

  There is no need to apply waterproofing treatment to the entire shoe right out of the box.

  Cleaning

  The best way to clean soiled shoes is by knocking them together when they are dry, brushing them carefully as needed when dry, or by wiping them carefully with a damp cloth. Not machine washable.

  Post-treatment

  We recommend follow-up waterproofing treatments with a suitable product if necessary.

  Allow shoes to dry thoroughly after waterproofing. The upper may rub off onto light-colored fabrics when wet.

• Additional notes

  Every single shoe is a handmade one of a kind, with an upper made from natural material. The structure and coloration may exhibit minor irregularities.

  A hue appears different depending on the lighting conditions. That's why colors always look a little different on the screen, in artificial light at home, or outside in sunlight.

  When putting on, please note: Widen the opening of the shoe sufficiently by loosening the laces. This minimizes wear on the material and extends the life of the shoe.
