What drives us

What drives us

The idea behind Wildling is simple: We want to craft shoes that enable natural movement and feel good in everyday life.

But our work doesn’t stop at the foot. It shows in how we develop products, choose materials, and collaborate with others.

We know there are no simple answers to the complex challenges of our time. That’s why we question existing norms, try new things, and keep learning. We look at the whole picture: the product itself and everything that goes into making it: the materials, their quality and durability, and the people we craft them with.

We are working to:

  • Find materials and solutions that meet our standards for quality, durability, and responsible production – and continuously refine our criteria as we learn.

  • Keep our shoes in use for as long as possible while rethinking repair, reuse, and recycling.

  • Build reliable, long-term partnerships across our supply chain to work on solutions together.

  • Collaborate with people, organizations, and projects that want to forge new paths and do things differently.

  • Test new approaches in pilot projects, share our experiences, and learn openly from what works – and what doesn't.

We don’t have all the answers yet. Some ideas need time to grow, while others we’ll eventually leave behind. Both are essential to learning. We want to keep developing Wildling step by step: curiously, responsibly, and alongside the people who share this path with us.
